Product Brief

Future Pipe Industries (FPI) manufactures GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) and GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) pipes, both advanced composite solutions. GRP pipes, using polyester resin, are ideal for water and infrastructure due to their general corrosion resistance, while GRE pipes, with epoxy resin, offer superior resistance to chemicals, higher temperatures, and pressures, making them suitable for demanding oil & gas and industrial applications.

Main Findings: GWP-GHG

The Declared Unit (DU) of this LCA is 1 kg and the findings below are expressed as kgCO₂e/DU.

Impact Category Unit A1-A2 A3 A4 A5 B1-B7 C1 C2 C3 C4 D
GWP - GHG kgCO₂e 2.51E+00 4.29E-03 3.85E-02 ND ND 4.63E-04 1.68E-02 0.00E+00 3.56E-04 -5.43E-02

This indicator includes all greenhouse gases, excluding biogenic carbon dioxide uptake and emissions, as well as biogenic carbon stored in the product, as defined by IPCC AR6 (2021). The indicator aligns closely with the Global Warming Potential (GWP) outlined in EN 15804:2012+A2:2019, incorporating updated characterization factors and environmental impact indicators. Reading example: 1.57E-03 = 1.57*10⁻³ = 0.00157.
